Guinea Worm Eradication at Risk in South Sudanese War

The global campaign to eradicate the guinea worm is closer than ever to its goal: There were only 149 recorded cases in 2013, according to new provisional numbers from the Carter Center, which leads the 3-decade battle against the worm. But the recently erupted violence in South Sudan, which is home to most of the remaining cases, puts the eradication at risk.
