Strange Conferencefellows

The AAAS 2010 Annual Meeting is not the only tenant of the San Diego Convention Center this weekend:

The two events are housed side by side, an irony that has not escaped many an observer.

Do we have any potential ambassadors who might persuade a gamer or two to visit the AAAS Exhibit Hall next door?

Public Participation Update

  • In addition to Family Science Day and Meet the Scientist, families and locals are also invited to hear lectures by top government science officials, including Eric Lander, co-chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology; Marcia McNutt of the U.S. Geological Survey; and Barry C. Barish, a leader in the field of particle physics.

  • Learn more about all the exciting research being communicated inside the conference at ScienceNOW. AAAS's best reporters are on the scene to summarize the discoveries for the public.

Enjoy the day!
