Court Nixes Appeal on German's GM Crop Ban

A German court yesterday rejected Monsanto's initial appeal of the country's recent ban on cultivation of the company's genetically modified maize strain. Monsanto had been seeking an emergency ruling so there would still be a chance the corn could be planted for this year's harvest. It could still pursue a normal appeal route.
