Not only is the International Space Station a round-the-clock study in human biology, it's also an opportunity for scientists here on Earth to get their experiments flown to space to be maintained by the astronauts on board. After a session at the 2013 AAAS Annual Meeting, Kerry Klein chatted with Cheryl Nickerson about her microgravity research on bacterial pathogens and infectious diseases.
