Lizzie is the news intern at Science. Her science writing career began at age 19, when an internship at Fermilab opened her eyes to the wonders of high energy physics. After graduating from Barnard College with a degree in comparative literature, she spent two years in Mexico City as a Fulbright scholar. In addition to Science, she has written for Wired, Bookforum, and symmetry, among other publications. Obsessions include California condors, natural mummies, and the many uses of aluminum foil at physics labs.
