Wage discrimination isn’t an issue in the tech world. According to Quartz, there is no significant difference in earnings between male and female engineers pursuing the same career in the tech industry. A study examining 15,000 graduates with bachelor’s degrees who are 35 years old and younger found that, in addition to engineering, there are six occupations with relatively equal pay, including nursing, social services, and life sciences professions. The study, conducted by the American Association of University Women, estimated that the earnings difference between men and women 1 year after graduation is 6.6%.
