In celebration of its 24th year in orbit, the Hubble Space Telescope has brought us a captivating image of a stellar nursery with baby stars just beginning their lives. The shot is of NGC 2174, or the Monkey Head Nebula, which lies 6400 light-years away in the Orion constellation and is named after the figure it resembles when viewed in wide-field images. Pictures of nebulae have made for some of the telescope's most famous shots over the years, including the Horsehead Nebula in 2013 and NGC 5189 in 2012. Hubble's birthday will be celebrated this week at the Science With the Hubble Space Telescope IV conference in Rome.
