A prehistoric “Atlantis” located near England may have been overrun by a 5-meter-high tsunami, BBC reports. Researchers at Imperial College London created computer simulations of a massive landslide that occurred off the coast of Norway some 8200 years ago. The simulations, shown above, demonstrate that waves generated from the slide would have struck Doggerland—an island now submerged in the North Sea—and possibly wiped out the tribes living there. The results will be presented at this week’s European Geosciences Union General Assembly.
