Mars Rover Plans Roll While Asteroid Acrimony Continues

Two of NASA's boldest plans are getting contrasting messages. An agency science panel this week gave a strong endorsement to the idea of sending a new rover to Mars in 2020 that could cache samples for later return to Earth. But a proposal to capture a small asteroid and then land astronauts on it is attracting widespread criticism.
